At the Popeyes Foundation, we believe it's important to give back to our communities.
That's why, we direct funds raised in restaurants back locally.

OUR FOOD LOVE GRANTS PROGRAM

Our Food Love Grants program focuses on nonprofits that serve food to those who need it and provide communities access to food and food-related resources during a natural or health-related crisis. Our Food Love Grants support comes to life throughout Popeyes neighborhoods with programs ranging from onsite feeding programs, mobile or delivery food programs, out-of-school meals, and crisis-related food support. In 2024, support will be directed to IRS approved 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations who are invited to apply by the Popeyes Foundation. As our program grows, we look forward to partnering with additional eligible nonprofits.

PROGRAM GUIDELINES

Through the Popeyes Foundation’s SERVING WITH LOVE® platform, Food Love Grants will be directed back to participating communities per the below funding guidelines and program parameters.

Funding Guidelines:

The Popeyes Foundation’s Food Love Grants are a local DMA-based program that directs funds raised in-restaurants back to local 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations that provide food to those in need. This program ensures the money raised within that community is used to support those in need in that area.

The Food Love Grants program supports IRS approved 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations that:

1. Serve food to those who need it –exclusively focusing on food insecure, those with limited access, under served, low-income, and opportunity communities that have inclusive program offerings.

2. Provide individuals, families, and communities access to food and food-related resources during a natural or health-related crisis.

Funding examples:

•Local food banks and food pantries

•After school and summertime youth meal support

•Neighborhood co-op food programs that teach individuals and families how to grow food and/or grocery shop economically to cook wholesome meals

•Warm, delivery meal programs for the elderly

•Providing frontline workers disaster-related food support

As part of the funding guidelines of "serving food to those who need it,” the Popeyes Foundation defines “need” or “needs-based” based on the approved nonprofit’s ability to serve individuals, families, and communities in underserved or opportunity zip codes. Individuals served will range from opportunity youth, families, single parents, active military, veterans, elderly, sick, and /or communities that are experiencing a disaster or health-related crisis.

The Popeyes Foundation does not fund IRS approved 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations that:

1. Fall outside of the above criteria,

2. Have a specific religious or political affiliation,

3. Discriminate or withhold services based on race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age, national origin, disability, or military status.
